On May 6, 2020, the DC Board of Elections issued the Campaign to Decriminalize Nature DC the official circulating petition for Initiative 81. The Campaign has until July 6 to collect 30,000 signatures from DC voters to place Initiative 81 on November’s general election ballot. DC voters can participate by downloading the petition, printing it out, getting every DC voter in their home to sign it, and sending it back to us either by email or by mail.
The “Petition At Home” packet linked above contains a letter from the proposer, testimonials, FAQ, instructions, and on the last page, the official Initiative 81 petition. If you would like to save paper, only print Page #5 of the “Petition At Home” packet. For detailed instructions on how to complete the Initiative 81 petition, we urge you to visit our Petition page.
After you print out the petition and have every DC voter in your home sign the petition, you can either:
- Scan or take a high quality photo with your phone and email it to Submit@DecrimNatureDC.org
